Galvanize Climate Solutions is a mission driven investment platform built to produce and scale vital climate solutions.

David Livingston has spent his career as an energy transition strategist at the intersection of technology, markets, and geopolitics.

Prior to joining Galvanize, David served across two Presidential administrations: in the Biden-Harris administration as senior advisor to the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry; and in the Obama-Biden administration as the inaugural Robert S. Strauss Fellow for Geoeconomics at the Office of the US Trade Representative in the White House.

David is the inaugural Innovation & Sustainability Fellow at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, and serves on the advisory councils of Eni Next as well as Novo Nordisk, Europe’s largest company.

In addition to government service, he previously worked on global macro issues at the Eurasia Group, advised several family offices and financial services firms on energy transition investment strategies, and helped create the clean energy and climate programs of both the Atlantic Council and the Carnegie Endowment. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and the University of Oxford, is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is a member of the Young Patrons Circle of the San Francisco Ballet.
