Recognizing Exemplary Global Leadership

Last week, our Co-Chair Secretary John Kerry was awarded an honorary Knighthood, Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (KCMG), by King Charles III. It’s one of the highest distinctions the United Kingdom can offer a non-citizen, recognizing extraordinary contributions to diplomacy and global leadership.

For Galvanize, this news is a celebration of the values, credibility, and long-term commitment to energy leadership that Secretary Kerry brings to our firm every day. We see his knighthood as both a milestone in his extraordinary journey and one in the broader story of the new economy, as it reinforces that:

  • The world recognizes the work required to shift from promises to deployment.
  • Energy innovation isn’t a silo. It’s the foundation of competitiveness, resilience, and global stability.
  • Leadership matters, and it is noticed.
  • Our goal to accelerate the transition to a clean, prosperous, and resilient economy, is aligned with where global ambition is heading.

Secretary Kerry’s recognition is a reminder that energy innovation is a leadership challenge as much as a technological one. The Galvanize team is honored to have a leader whose decades of diplomacy, integrity, and commitment continue to open doors for our partners, our portfolio companies, and the ecosystems within which we operate.

Please join us in congratulating Secretary John Kerry on this well-deserved honor.
