Jesal Shah

Jesal has spent nearly two decades investing in and advising companies in the energy sector. In addition to his role at Galvanize, Jesal is a Senior Advisor at Riverstone Holdings, a global energy and infrastructure investment firm with over $40 billion of capital raised to date. During his nearly 15 year private equity career at Riverstone, most recently as a Managing Director, Jesal has invested in and overseen a broad portfolio of private investments within the energy, infrastructure, and decarbonization sectors and has also served as a Board member of many public and private companies. Jesal began his career as an investment banker in the Global Energy Group at Credit Suisse, where he advised on M&A and capital markets transactions for power and utilities clients. Jesal graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University and received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He lives in New York City with his wife and their two children.
