Galvanize Climate Solutions is a mission driven investment platform built to produce and scale vital climate solutions.

Dan was the Director Of Special Projects at Benson Hill working in novel protein sources for animal nutrition and plant based meats. He is a biochemist and geneticist, and worked on innovative R&D portfolio design and management as a consultant for ARPA-E from Booz Allen. He designed and managed programs in plant breeding for bioenergy crops, soil carbon sequestration, and agricultural emissions markets. He regularly consulted between ARPA-E and DARPA and developed collaborations between biologists and computer scientists to bring machine learning algorithms to plant biology. Dan has a PhD from University of Pennsylvania in immunology and a biomedical engineering degree from Duke.
