Lisa P. Jackson is Apple’s vice president of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives. She oversees Apple’s efforts to minimize its impact on the environment by addressing climate change through renewable energy and energy efficiency, using greener materials, and inventing new ways to conserve precious resources.

She also leads Apple’s Racial Equity and Justice Initiative, focused on education, economic empowerment, and criminal justice reform — and is responsible for Apple’s education policy programs, its product accessibility work, and its worldwide government affairs function.

From 2009 to 2013, Lisa served as Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency, the first Black person to hold the position. Appointed by President Barack Obama, she focused on reducing greenhouse gasses, protecting air and water quality, preventing exposure to toxic contamination, and expanding outreach to communities on environmental issues.

She has also served as chief of staff to New Jersey Governor Jon S. Corzine and as commissioner of New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection.

Lisa has been recognized as a leader in business and sustainability in a number of leading publications including Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business, Vogue’s Game Changers, InStyle’s Badass Women, Newsweek’s Most Important People, TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World (2010 & 2011) and Ebony’s Power 100 lists.

She is the recipient of numerous awards, including Princeton’s James Madison Medal, Tulane University’s Distinguished Alumni Award, the Environmental Law Institute’s Environmental Achievement Award, the Corporate EcoForum’s C.K. Prahalad Award for Global Sustainability Business Leadership and The Captain Planet Foundation’s Protector of the Earth Award.

Lisa serves as Board Chair of the Waverly Street Foundation. She also serves on the President’s Board of Advisors on Historically Black Colleges and Universities and on the boards of Tulane University, Conservation International, the San Francisco Film Society and the American Film Institute. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering.

Johan Rockström is Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Professor in Earth System Science at the University of Potsdam. He is an internationally recognized scientist on global sustainability issues and led the development of the Planetary Boundaries framework for human development in the current era of rapid global change. Professor Rockström is a leading scientist on global water resources, with more than 25 years experience in applied water research in tropical regions, and more than 150 research publications in fields ranging from applied land and water management to global sustainability. He is a member of European Commission expert group: Mission Board for adaptation to climate change including societal transformation, chair of the Earth Commission, Chief Scientist of Conservation International, and elected member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.

Arati Prabhakar, Ph.D., is Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and Assistant to the President for Science and Technology. In this capacity, Prabhakar is the President’s Chief Advisor for Science and Technology, a member of the President’s Cabinet, and co-chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).

An engineer and applied physicist with broad management and leadership experience, Prabhakar has led two different federal R&D agencies and worked with startups, large companies, universities, government labs, and nonprofits across a wide variety of sectors to create new solutions for critical challenges. She served as director of DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, from 2012 to 2017. In 1993, she was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), becoming the first woman to lead the agency. Between these federal leadership roles, Prabhakar spent 15 years in Silicon Valley as a company executive and as a venture capitalist. In 2019, she founded Actuate, a nonprofit organization to develop new approaches to innovation for society’s essential challenges.

Prabhakar’s family immigrated from India to the United States when she was three years old, moving first to Chicago and then Lubbock, Texas, where she went on to earn an electrical engineering degree from Texas Tech University. She also earned an M.S. in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in applied physics from the California Institute of Technology. She started her career in the legislative branch as a Congressional Fellow at the Office of Technology Assessment.

She is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and was a fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University.

Brian Deese is the current MIT Innovation Fellow and the former director of the White House
National Economic Council, where he advised President Biden on domestic and international economic policy and coordinated the economic agenda of the Biden‐Harris Administration. A former senior advisor to President Barack Obama who was instrumental both in engineering the rescue of the U.S. auto industry and in negotiating the landmark Paris Climate Agreement, Deese is a crisis‐tested advisor with broad experience in accelerating economic prosperity, empowering working Americans, and harnessing the economic opportunities that come from building a clean energy economy and combating the climate crisis.
Previously, Deese also served as the global head of sustainable investing at BlackRock, where he worked to drive greater focus on climate and sustainability risk in investment portfolios and create investment strategies to help accelerate the low‐carbon transition. During the Obama‐Biden Administration, Deese served as acting director of the Office of Management and Budget and deputy director of the National Economic Council.

Deese received his BA from Middlebury College, and his JD from Yale Law School.

Kirsty Jenkinson is the Investment Director for the Sustainable Investment and Stewardship Strategies (SISS) team at CalSTRS, the largest educator-only public pension fund in the world with an investment portfolio valued at over 310 billion. Kirsty sits on the Investment branch Senior Management Team and is responsible for managing over billion in sustainability-focused investment strategies across public and private assets as well as overseeing CalSTRS’ stewardship activities, including corporate engagement and proxy voting, and outreach with the fund’s stakeholders.
Prior to joining CalSTRS, Kirsty was a managing director at Wespath Benefits and Investments in Chicago and was the director of the Markets and Enterprise Program at the World Resources Institute (WRI), a Washington, D.C.-based global research organization focused on the environment and economic development. Before moving to the United States, Kirsty was director of governance and sustainable investment at F&C Asset Management (now Columbia Threadneedle Investments) and an executive director in the Fixed Income division of Goldman Sachs in London.
Kirsty is on the boards of Ceres and the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre, is a member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Investor Advisory Group and a member of the Advisory Council of the Investment Integration Project (TIIP). Kirsty holds an M.A. degree in international history from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

As part of McDonald’s Global Impact leadership, Jenny McColloch leads the Sustainability & ESG team, which designs and manages McDonald’s cross-cutting environmental, social and community impact strategies, including overseeing corporate giving and volunteerism. Partnering with groups within and beyond McDonald’s, Jenny’s team coordinates impact initiatives and public commitments to drive meaningful, industry-wide change across the value chain – from supply chain through to the restaurant, customer and community experience. Together with IR and other internal partners, her team also manages McDonald’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) progress tracking and reporting for long-term value creation.

Jenny joined McDonald’s in 2012. She’s held a variety of roles related to restaurant and supply chain sustainability strategy, including enabling McDonald’s climate action strategy with science based targets to reduce GHG emissions and strategic planning to drive climate resiliency and risk management. She previously held roles with Nestlé Waters N.A and as Education Director for Salish Sea Expeditions.

Jenny earned her BS/MS in Earth Systems from Stanford University and her MBA from the Yale School of Management. She serves on the First Movers Advisory Board for the Aspen Institute’s Business & Society Program, and is committed to mentoring students and early career professionals exploring sustainability and ESG-related fields.

Mr. Fernandez serves on the boards of directors/trustees of Royalty Pharma plc, Stanford University, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, the Hoover Institution, the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the Foreign Policy Association, and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York. Previously, he served on the boards of trustees at Georgetown University, the Trinity School, the Browning School, and MexDer (Mexican Derivatives Exchange), and he was Chair of the Advisory Council at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Fernandez holds a BA degree in economics from Georgetown University and an MBA from Stanford University, and he pursued doctoral studies in economics at Princeton University. He was born in Mexico and grew up in Nicaragua, and now lives in New York City with his wife. They have three children.

Jesse D. Jenkins is an assistant professor and macro-scale energy systems engineer at Princeton University with a joint appointment in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and the Andlinger Center for Energy and Environment. He leads the Princeton ZERO Lab (Zero-carbon Energy systems Research and Optimization Laboratory), which focuses on improving and applying optimization-based energy systems models to evaluate and optimize low-carbon energy technologies, guide investment and research in innovative energy technologies, and generate insights to improve energy and climate policy and planning decisions. Dr. Jenkins earned a PhD and SM from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, worked previously as a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, and spent six years as an energy and climate policy analyst prior to embarking on his academic career. Dr. Jenkins recently served on the National Academies of Science Engineering and Medicine expert committee on Accelerating Decarbonization of the U.S. Energy System, was a principal investigator and lead author of Princeton’s landmark Net-Zero America study, and leads the REPEAT Project (repeatproject.org), which provides regular, timely, and independent environmental and economic evaluation of federal energy and climate policies as they’re proposed and enacted. Dr. Jenkins has delivered invited testimony to multiple Congressional committees and his research is frequently featured in major media outlets. He regularly provides technical analysis and policy advice for non-profit organizations, policy makers, investors, and early-stage technology ventures working to accelerate the deployment of clean energy.

A broadcast journalist, media pioneer and digital communication leader, Willow Bay is dean of the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California. With a relentless commitment to students, Bay has increased scholarship opportunities, launched the state-of-the-art Annenberg Media Center, accelerated curricular innovations, and vastly expanded the school’s partnerships with key media and technology partners. Prior to joining USC, Bay was co-anchor of CNN’s Moneyline, a reporter and anchor for ABC News’ Good Morning America/Sunday, a correspondent for World News Weekend, and a senior editor and strategic adviser at The Huffington Post.

Sukanya Paciorek is the Managing Director of RMI’s Carbon-Free Buildings team, drives market transformation with nearly two decades of expertise in energy, sustainability, and real estate. Formerly SVP of Energy & Sustainability at Vornado Realty Trust, she crafted sustainability strategies, managing a 0M annual budget. As EVP, Head of Asset Management, and COO at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, she oversaw remarkable growth from 3 to 8 million sf and 270 to 450 tenants. Sukanya’s leadership extended to the Pacific Northwest, where she directed a waterfront mixed-use project with affordable housing and led a COVID-era food security taskforce at the Whatcom Community Foundation. A champion of public policy and community engagement, Sukanya has served on non-profit and industry Boards, co-chaired the REBNY sustainability committee, and was appointed to the NYSERDA and Mercy Housing Northwest Boards.

Her current work at RMI includes leading a team of 70 building decarbonization experts in their efforts to decarbonize the global buildings sector with a focus on resilience, environmental justice, health, and equity issues.

Bernadette Woods Placky is an Emmy Award winning meteorologist and director of Climate Central’s Climate Matters, a program that offers data analyses, graphics and other reporting resources to a growing network of more than 3000 local TV meteorologists and journalists to help them tell their local climate stories.

Woods Placky develops partnerships with media organizations, non-profits and academic institutions in her leadership role with Climate Central, and serves as an expert on the links between climate change and weather.

Before coming to Climate Central, Woods Placky worked for decade as an on-air meteorologist in markets in Arkansas, Kentucky and Maryland. Woods Placky holds a B.S. in Meteorology and a minor in French from Penn State University. She carries both American Meteorological Society certifications—Television Seal of Approval and Certified Broadcast Meteorologist.

She is a newly elected member of the AMS Council, on the Penn State Meteorology Advisory Council, and a former Penn State Graduates of Earth and Mineral Sciences Board Member. She serves on The Weather Channel’s Pattrn Advisory Committee and is also very active in her local community, serving on the board of trustees for the Watershed Institute, the Princeton Wrestling Club, and as a science advisor for C-Change Conversations.

Andrew K. Golden has served as President of the Princeton University Investment Company
(“PRINCO”) since January 1995. During his tenure, PRINCO’s investment performance has ranked
in the top percentile among institutional investors and PRINCO’s endowment market value has
grown from approximately .5 billion to almost billion as of June 30, 2022—(after net
distributions of almost  billion). Today, endowment spending pays for two-thirds of the
University’s operating expenses. Mr. Golden joined PRINCO from Duke Management Company
where he was an Investment Director. He was previously a Senior Associate in the Yale
Investments Office. Before shifting his focus to investing, “Sparky” Golden (aka “The
Commodore”) was a professional photographer.
He currently serves on fund advisory boards for several managers, including Bain Capital,
General Catalyst Partners, Greylock Partners, and WestBridge Capital. He was a member of the
Board of Directors of the NAB Asset Corporation, a publicly-traded commercial loan workout
specialist, as well as a founding member of the Investors’ Committee of the President’s Working
Group on Financial Markets. In addition to his work at PRINCO, Mr. Golden serves as a Trustee of
the Princeton Area Community Foundation, the Rita Allen Foundation, and Rutgers Preparatory
School. He is on the Board of the Park Agency, a private family office, and serves on the
Investment Advisory Committees of the Edmond J. Safra Foundation and the Cambridge
University Endowment Fund. Mr. Golden holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Duke University and
a M.P.P.M. from the Yale School of Management. He has earned the Chartered Financial
Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Society New York, which has awarded
him its Irving Kahn Lifetime Achievement Award. Institutional Investor recently gave him a
similar accolade.

Since joining Bain Capital at its inception in 1984, Mr. Bekenstein has played a leading role in a wide spectrum of prominent consumer and retail businesses in which Bain Capital Private Equity has made investments.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Bekenstein spent several years at Bain & Company where he was involved with companies in a variety of industries.

Mr. Bekenstein is also active in a number of charitable and civic activities. He chairs the board of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and serves on the boards of New Profit Inc., City Year and Be the Change. He was also named a Successor Trustee of Yale University in 2013.

Mr. Bekenstein graduated from Yale University and holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.

Kingsmill Bond, CFA is an Energy Strategist for RMI.
Kingsmill has worked as a financial market analyst and strategist for over 25 years, including for Deutsche Bank, Sberbank and Citibank in London, Hong Kong and Moscow. He believes that the renewable revolution is the most important driver of financial markets and geopolitics in the modern era. He joined RMI in 2022 to write analysis on the impact of the energy transition on financial markets, with a focus on the exponential growth of renewables and peaking fossil fuel demand.

Paddy Padmanathan led ACWA Power from a start-up 18 years ago and transformed it into a globally recognized company at the forefront of the energy transition. It is listed on the Saudi stock exchange with a market capitalization of over US billion. Under his leadership, ACWA Power has today become a leading developer, investor, and operator of power generation, water desalination, and green hydrogen plants, valued at US billion. The company has a significant track record in large scale solar and wind energy development, and is a leader in water desalination, serving millions of people around the world. It is now making strides in the production of green hydrogen with the first plant at scale currently under construction. After serving as President & CEO, Padmanathan stepped down from his executive position in March 2023 to pursue his own business ventures but continues to serve ACWA Power as a member of its Board.

Padmanathan’s unwavering commitment to renewable energy and addressing the impending potable water crisis are enabling significant changes in the industry, creating opportunities for sustainable growth and progress towards a greener future. His new ventures include: Zhero BV, Xlinks Ltd, and Desolenator BV.

Paul Lightfoot is the General Manager of Patagonia Provisions, the food and beverage division of Patagonia. Founded by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia Provisions brings to market foods to fight the environmental crisis.
Paul is the chair of the board of the Regenerative Organic Alliance, which administers the Regenerative Organic Certified® standard, a revolutionary new label for food, fiber, and botanical ingredients and products. Regenerative Organic Certified® is based on three pillars that require farmers to use practices that ensure healthy soil, pasture-based animal welfare, and fairness for farmers and workers.
Prior to joining Patagonia, Paul was the founder & CEO of BrightFarms, which builds and operates high-tech greenhouse farms to eliminate time, distance and costs from the produce supply chain. Before BrightFarms, Paul was a technology entrepreneur and transactional attorney.

Jay Faison founded ClearPath in 2013. Prior to founding ClearPath, Jay was the founder, CEO and Chairman of SnapAV, the largest supplier in the custom audio video industry. SnapAV’s explosive growth won Jay the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Southeast region. Jay sold SnapAV in order to pursue his passion for philanthropy.

Jay currently serves as the Chairman of the American Flood Coalition, is a member of the Nuclear Energy Advisory Council, and the American Energy Innovation Council. Jay was named by Politico Magazine as one of the top “Politico 50” ideas changing politics and the people behind them.

Barney joined Nephila Capital in 2004 as a Managing Partner and moved to San Francisco in 2010 to set up Nephila Advisors. Barney was the founder and Chair of the Board of Nephila Climate (NCx), and also the Head of Nephila Labs, where his primary responsibilities included oversight of research and insurtech. Nephila was acquired by Markel (MKL) in 2018.

Barney began working in re/insurance in New York in 1993 as a broker for Marsh and Guy Carpenter. He joined Goldman, Sachs & Co. in their Risk Markets group in 1996, where he helped to execute the first catastrophe bond and spent six years working on development and distribution of catastrophe and weather-linked products. Barney joined XL Capital in 2003 and was head of marketing for the weather risk management business. Barney attended Harvard College and received his BA in Economics in 1995. He wrote his senior thesis to explore investing in bonds linked to property catastrophe reinsurance risk.

He is Chair of the Board of Ceres (a non-profit devoted to sustainable capitalism) where he has been a Director since 2011. Barney has also served as a director or advisor to various companies and funds including The Climate Corporation (2007-2012), MetroMile (2009-2011), Advisen (2014-2016), The Production Board, and the Oakland Roots.

Joe Rodden is the CEO and co-founder of Lydian, an early-stage company aiming to develop the most energy-efficient process for converting CO2 to fuels and chemicals. Joe comes from a family of chemical engineers but spent the early part of his career in various finance, strategy, and business development roles, including at BlackRock, Affirm, and most recently, at Form Energy. Joe has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s in applied mathematics from Vanderbilt University

Guillaume has led for nearly 25 years the development and operations of infrastructure projects across the transportation, energy, power, water, and maritime ports industries with a specific focus on emerging markets. He has led projects through inception, engineering, financing, and operations in over 30 countries and has corporate board experience in Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas.

After leading the Global Engineering division and group-wide Capital Expenditures function as an Officer of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI, PSE:ICT), in 2017, Guillaume founded Prime Infrastructure Capital, Inc., (Prime Infra) where he is the current President and CEO, and Board Member, as well as President of Prime Infra Foundation. Prime Infra, a Razon controlled company, is a leader in the development of socially relevant and sustainable infrastructure. It focuses on developing Water, Sustainable Energy, Waste Management, and Sustainable Fuels businesses, with presence in 6 countries. In 2023, the Prime Infra base turnover will be circa USD1B.

Prime Infra is the controlling shareholder of Manila Water Company, Inc. (PSE:MWC) with over 12 million people served. It owns WawaJVCo which built and operates the Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project delivering in two phases over 518 MLD. Prime Infra acquired Prime Energy (formerly Shell Philippines Exploration B.V.) the operator of the Malampaya Deep Water Gas-to-Power project in the Philippines which provides over 20% of the domestic power supply. In 2025, Prime Energy will be drilling new wells and developing new service contracts in addition to starting to aggregate indigenous gas and LNG imports. Further, Prime Infra is the developer of one of the largest solar plus storage project in the world (Terra Solar, over 3GW PV and 4GWhr storage), and the largest pump storage projects in the Philippines totaling 2GW. Finally, it owns and operates the most modern Sanitary Landfill in the Philippines and is currently developing two new facilities to commence operations in 1H24 and 1H25.
Guillaume is also a Board Member of US-based WasteFuel Global Inc., a company dedicated to the production of Sustainable Fuels sourced from municipal solid waste, and includes as shareholders Net Jets, Maersk, and British Petroleum.
In the past decade, Guillaume delivered over USD4B in infrastructure projects and over USD500M in M&A, located in Iraq, Democratic Republic of Congo, Colombia, Mexico, Honduras, Argentina, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Australia.
Guillaume holds a M.S. degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Materials from the University of California at Berkeley, and undergraduate degrees in Civil/Ocean Engineering and in Mathematics from the Florida Institute of Technology (Summa Cum Laude), and the University of Toulon et du Var in France. He is a registered Civil Engineer in the United States.

Dr. Anastasia Volkova is the CEO and Co-founder of Regrow Ag, a 2023 TIME100 Most Influential Company on a mission to make global agriculture resilient. She is a recognized thought leader and innovator in regenerative agriculture and sustainable food sourcing, and has more than ten years of experience in academia, business, and startups.
Dr. Volkova has nurtured Regrow into a global company that empowers some of the world’s largest brands (Cargill, General Mills, and Kellogg’s, among others) to reduce GHG emissions across their supply chains and combat climate change through food production. Regrow pioneered the world’s first Resilient Agriculture platform, enabling companies with agricultural supply chains to accurately measure farm-based Scope 3 emissions and make data-based decisions about where to invest in globally scalable emissions reductions programs. Regrow was named Fast Company’s No. 1 Most Innovative Company in Agriculture and No. 41 out of the Top 50 across all industries in 2023.
Dr. Volkova is a 2023 UBS Global Visionary, a 2022 Bloomberg New Economy Catalyst, and has been recognized as one of MIT’s “35 Under 35” Innovators, BBC’s “Top 100 Women,” and one of the Top 100 Australian Innovators.

Jim has spent the last 15 years helping to digitize the global agriculture and food system. Currently he is the CEO at Arable, a leading agriculture intelligence company that helps over 200 top-tier food and agriculture companies to be more productive and sustainable through technology. Prior to Arable, Jim was an executive at The Climate Corporation, where he helped create one of the leading digital products in agriculture, Climate FieldView.”
